Senior Estimator

The Senior Estimator is responsible for the production of competitive tenders, cost plans and cost estimates predominantly across (but not limited to) the Modular Solutions business. Working closely with the wider Commercial and Pre-Construction teams encompassing business development, bid management, design management, sales lead and other stakeholders within the business to formulate the most economical and robust response to opportunities.

Përgjegjësitë

• Work closely with the Commercial team to ensure all bid win themes are accurately translated into the cost element of the bid submission.
• Review and assess enquiry documents and plan actions to meet the deliverable criteria and deadlines
• Ensure accurate BCIS elemental quantification of all elements is established, using market rates for all costs.
• Create subcontract enquiry packages including detailed scope of works and attendances to meet the clients brief, issue and engage with supply chain and manage the return of information.
• Carry out measurement and takeoff from tender documentation in order to produce BoQ to aid procurement.
• Review Sub-Contractor tender returns against scope of works across multiple projects, ensuing any scope gaps are identified and mitigated.
• Have a good understanding of market conditions and ability to translate this into a competitive proposal, being able to reflect market pricing and conditions.
• Manage value engineering strategies during the tender process.
• Prepare tender return documentation including CSA, prelims breakdown.
• Take an active role in the development of our supply chain network.
• Develop historic cost data to assist in the production of feasibility and budget proposals.

Kërkesat

• The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they have held a similar role with a Design and Build Modular or Main Contracting background.
• Comfortable with a high degree of interaction with clients as well as internal stakeholders.
• The successful candidate will be required to be self-motivated, work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines and work without supervision.
• Recognised building qualification ONC, HNC or degree.
• Able to demonstrate extensive experience in developing and securing Two Stage opportunities.
• Have a good working knowledge of modular and general construction techniques and processes, with the ability to generate detailed bills for work tasks from groundworks, superstructure, M&E and fit-out packages.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings, schedules, room data sheets, NBS documents.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT is advantageous.
• Knowledge of materials/construction methods.
