A superb, two-theatre facility, designed, built and installed for Nuffield Health by Vanguard

Opening these theatres has allowed Tees hospital to expand elective capacity, helping to reduce the NHS waiting list and providing excellent facilities for a wider range of vital surgical activities.

From the outset of the project, the team from Nuffield Health, the UK’s largest healthcare charity, worked closely with Vanguard’s specialist modular build and clinical teams to create a bespoke solution to meet the hospital’s specific needs.

Meeting the needs of patients from the local community, including people needing joint replacements, spinal care, prostate, gynaecology, and women’s health services, these facilities include two laminar flow theatres with enhanced scrub areas, two anaesthetic rooms, two recovery rooms, staff welfare areas, spacious corridors, office space and restrooms. As part of the construction, more parking spaces have also been created at the hospital site in Stockton-on-Tees.
