Vanguard provides additional theatre space for hospitals seeking to increase capacity, address backlogs or continue operations during refurbishment. Facilities of any size can be created, incredibly quickly, using modern methods of (modular) construction.

When even that isn’t fast enough, Vanguard delivers a mobile theatre, linked to existing hospital facilities via a corridor or supported by other mobile or modular Vanguard facilities. A mobile operating theatre can be in place, a corridor built and patients undergoing procedures within weeks of the first enquiry.

Don’t be misled by the word ‘mobile’. Designed to be delivered and installed quickly, Vanguard’s mobile operating theatres are fully functioning, compliant surgical theatres, suitable for almost any procedure, and can be in place for years.

Sometimes Trusts provide the staff for a Vanguard theatre, for others Vanguard provides both the facility and clinical team members. To date, on the mobile facilities provided with staff, the procedures completed have included: Over 70,000 orthopaedic, over 70,000 ophthalmic, over 40,000 general surgery, over 20,000 gynaecology.
