A new modular CSSD facility highlights Vanguard's capability to provide high Pre-Manufactured Value

Vanguard Healthcare Solutions is providing a modular CSSD (Central Sterile Services Department) facility to a major University Hospital in Strasbourg, France. With an extremely high Pre-Manufactured Value, this facility, constructed in Vanguard's factory in Hull, is a great example of how Vanguard provides facilities of the highest quality, in the shortest time.

Pre-Manufactured Value (PMV) is the share of building work that is completed in a factory, away from the construction site, reducing on-site labour. Completing more work in the factory means there is greater control over quality, and much less chance of delays caused by the weather. The duration of the project, the disruption to hospital staff and patients, and lost operational time is reduced because manufacturing of the building coincides with the on-site ground works.

A combination of high quality and low cost means that modular facilities like these are viable for even a relatively short refurbishment project.

This modular facility will replace the hospital's whole surgical sterile services department during refurbishment.
