Skilled Operative

Vanguard Healthcare Solutions Modular is part of Vanguard Healthcare Solutions Limited which was established in 1999. A UK-Based, privately owned, international provider of infrastructure and clinical services supporting healthcare clients worldwide.

Our purpose-designed and built mobile and modular facilities provide our clients with new or replacement healthcare spaces including operating theatres, endoscopy suites and sterilisation and diagnostic departments. As part of our solution to our clients we also support them with clinical teams and equipment for our facilities.

We are looking for a Skilled Operative to join our operations team, based in Hull.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote Line Manager’s requirements from the team, checking own understanding as well as that of Semi-Skilled team members, listening carefully, and encouraging colleagues of the value of doing the same
• Supports the development of other team members, assisting in the development of semi-skilled team members, providing feedback and training opportunities where required, unafraid to lead by example
• Follow safe working procedures and ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and your colleagues at all times
• Responsible for the correct and safe use of PPE, tools, equipment, and materials within your control
• Minimise waste through care and control of materials
• Promote and work to the company quality management framework
• Assist in the development of Semi-skilled Operatives in the assembly, installation, dismantling and maintenance of modular building elements

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience across all aspects of modular manufacturing
• Demonstrates experience in a variety of skills relevant to the modular construction process; steel fabrication; joinery; drywall etc
• Holds relevant vocational qualifications and/or industry recognised skills cards (including plant operation)
• Has completed other formal training related to their specific area of expertise
• Is familiar with ‘5S’ principles
