{"id":3695,"date":"2020-12-04T09:31:07","date_gmt":"2020-12-04T09:31:07","guid":{"rendered":"\/?p=3695"},"modified":"2020-12-04T09:31:07","modified_gmt":"2020-12-04T09:31:07","slug":"mobile-theatre-complex-to-boost-cataract-surgery-capacity-at-ashford-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vanguardhealthcare.co.uk\/nl_nl\/mobile-theatre-complex-to-boost-cataract-surgery-capacity-at-ashford-hospital\/","title":{"rendered":"Mobiel theatercomplex moet de capaciteit voor staaroperaties in het Ashford Hospital vergroten"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashfordstpeters.nhs.uk\/\">Ashford en St Peter&#039;s ziekenhuizen NHS Foundation Trust<\/a>, de grootste aanbieder van acute ziekenhuiszorg in Surrey, merkte dat de wachtlijsten voor oogchirurgie sinds het begin van het jaar steeds langer werden en wilde een tijdelijke oplossing implementeren waarmee de wachtlijsten snel en veilig konden worden verkort.<\/p>\n<p>Het was belangrijk dat de operaties konden plaatsvinden zonder dat de pati\u00ebnten op de afdeling en de pati\u00ebnten die in het ziekenhuis behandeld werden, elkaar kruisten. Dit, in combinatie met het feit dat de eigen operatiekamer van het ziekenhuis, die gebruikt werd voor oogchirurgie, gerenoveerd moest worden, leidde tot het besluit om een complex te cre\u00ebren dat volledig op zichzelf staat.<\/p>\n<p>De resulterende oplossing, geleverd door Vanguard Healthcare Solutions, omvat drie afzonderlijke eenheden \u2013 twee <a href=\"\/nl_nl\/facilities\/operating-theatres\/\">mobiele laminaire stromingstheaters<\/a> en een modulaire pati\u00ebntenontvangst, afdeling en personeelsvoorzieningen \u2013 die met elkaar verbonden zijn om een compleet ziekenhuis voor bezoekers te vormen.<\/p>\n<p>Door het gebruik van meerdere individuele units was de ontwerpfase van het project relatief complex. Naast nutsvoorzieningen en andere praktische overwegingen waren ook effici\u00ebnte pati\u00ebntenstromen en pati\u00ebntcomfort van groot belang. Het doel was om de interne uitstraling en beleving van een meer permanente faciliteit te bereiken.<\/p>\n<p>De twee operatiekamers zijn met elkaar verbonden en via een speciaal gebouwde gang verbonden met de ondersteunende faciliteit met de afdelingsmodule; die bestaat uit 6 bedden, een vuile en schone voorziening, toiletten, opslag, personeelswelzijn, een verpleegpost en een pati\u00ebntenontvangstruimte. De faciliteit heeft een eigen ingang en uitgang die pati\u00ebnten toegang tot de buitenwereld biedt.<\/p>\n<p>Het tijdelijke complex bevindt zich op het terrein van het Ashford-ziekenhuis, waar het merendeel van de geplande dagopnames en orthopedische operaties van de Trust plaatsvinden. Het bezoekende ziekenhuis is echter op geen enkele manier verbonden met het ziekenhuis; pati\u00ebnten komen rechtstreeks naar de afdeling en worden na hun procedure uit de afdeling ontslagen. Deze op maat gemaakte oplossing zorgt er cruciaal voor dat het complex &#039;groen&#039; of Covid-vrij blijft.<\/p>\n<p>Het bezoekende ziekenhuis zal in eerste instantie zes maanden open zijn en naar verwachting vijf dagen per week in gebruik zijn. Hiermee kan de stichting de wachtlijsten voor staaroperaties en andere soorten oogoperaties aanzienlijk verkorten.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/nl_nl\/our-team\/simon-squirrell\/\">Simon Squirrel<\/a>, National Sales Manager bij Vanguard Healthcare Solutions zei:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe zijn blij om Ashford &amp; St Peters NHS Foundation Trust te ondersteunen bij het omgaan met de toenemende wachtlijsten door een op maat gemaakte oplossing te bieden. Het ontwerp en de indeling van de faciliteit illustreren de flexibiliteit van de oplossingen van Vanguard en hoe individuele units kunnen worden gecombineerd om een volledig op zichzelf staande oplossing te cre\u00ebren, afgestemd op de specifieke behoeften van het ziekenhuis\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Stephen Hepworth, directeur Planning en Contractering bij Ashford and St Peter&#039;s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust zei:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHet is geweldig dat de nieuwe faciliteit in zo&#039;n korte tijd operationeel is. We zijn onder de indruk van de snelheid waarmee het project is afgerond en het proces is tot nu toe erg soepel verlopen.
