About you

Due to our successful business strategy and period of significant growth, we are now looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our team.

You will take responsibility for producing accurate and weekly pipeline reports and input into Executive Board reports.

You will provide support to the Operations Finance Director in managing key supplier relationships, tender submissions, annual budgeting, contract pricing and financial appraisal modelling.

You will ideally be ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent) qualified (or Finalist level) and be able to demonstrate solid experience in a similar role within a SME.   You will possess strong relationship and stakeholder management skills and be flexible in your approach, understanding the customers (internal or external) needs and have the ability to communicate effectively though all mediums.

We deliver the quality and service expectations of our customers, and your operational responsibilities will include:

  • weekly pipeline reports and input into monthly/quarterly Exec Board reports
  • contract pricing, financial appraisal modelling and relevant sales KPIs
  • ownership of asset utilisation file
  • analysis of monthly management information, highlighting key issues to management team and operational departments
  • develop and deliver relevant financial and non-financial management information within deadlines as required
  • understanding of customs and VAT compliance, in the UK and overseas, and input into VAT returns as required
  • in partnership with, the Group Financial Controller, ensure compliance with the Construction Industry Scheme.

We are looking for someone to ideally work 37.5 hours per week, over 5 days, however we are flexible and willing to discuss a suitable working pattern with the successful applicant.  In return, you may be required to work additional hours at peak periods, so flexibility will be important.  This is a hybrid role and once established, you will be working an agreed mix (approx. 50%) of home / office in Gloucester.
